1. Will they be safe?
At Skirmish safety is our top priority; all games are fully supervised by our marshalling staff. The most important rule enforced is eye safety. Goggles must never be removed on the field of play. Our marshals make sure the safety rules are adhered to and everyone is playing fairly.
2. How many players will we need for a paintball game?
You can book a group with any number of players as we put groups of a similar age together to make up the teams on the day. If you have a group of 20 or more you can have your own exclusive day.
3. Will you split up my group?
No. All groups stay together in the same game.
4. How many paintballs will we require?
The average use for a full day is 500 - 700 paintballs per person. The Average use for a half day is 300 – 500 paintballs per person.
5. What happens on the day?
At the start of the day all players receive a full safety briefing and equipment demonstration. Prior to each game, players receive a specific game briefing so they know what the objective of that game is. During a full day session they will play 12 games, during a half day session they will play 6 games.
6. Do you provide lunch?
A cooked lunch is included in both our full day young gun packages. Our lunch menu is constantly changing depending on the time of year and the number of customers that we have playing on a game day. There is also a snack shop onsite where you can purchase chocolates, cold drinks & slush puppies.
7. Does a parent need to stay?
No. We do not require parents to stay for the duration of the day. Just remember to pick them up at the end of their session time.
8. How close to London are you?
Skirmish is located just 25 minutes from London, the venue has extremely good transport links. We are only 5 minutes drive from J4 of the M40 and only 15 minutes from junction 8/9 of the M4.
9. What do they need to bring?
Footwear, ideally with ankle support and grip, but old trainers are most commonly worn. All young guns are issued with overalls and body armour, so we recommend they wear casual clothes for the day.
10. Can an adult join in on a Young Gun day?
Yes, but we restrict the number to 1 per group.
11. Does it hurt when you get shot?
The short answer is: Yes It Stings! depending on the distance from which you are shot. Fortunately, it isn't as bad as one thinks, the easy answer is try not to get shot
12. They have never played before, should I worry?
No. There is no need to worry about bringing a group of Young Guns paintballing with us. Our Marshalls are there to make sure that the day runs smoothly and all players have a fun filled day.
13. What time do we need to arrive?
Please arrive at 9:00am prompt for a full day or morning session and 12:30pm for an afternoon session. Morning sessions finish at 12:30pm all other sessions finish at 4:00pm.
14. It is a birthday party, can we bring a birthday cake?
No problem, we can even look after it for you until it is required.
15. My child is under 11 can he/she play?
Unfortunately due to insurance reasons, all players must be 11 years of age and in year 7 of secondary school education or equivalent to play paintball. We do however operate Skirmish Laser Games which are suitable for anyone from 8 years of age. For more information on Skirmish Laser Games please visit there website here.
